STOP FEELING LIKE A FISH OUT OF WATER

Testimonials

Quotes My 7 year old boy was fast becoming sick of his weekly council swimming lessons with 12 in his class and from what I could see he seemed to be getting worse rather than better! Having just moved from Edinburgh I felt a bit stuck about what to do. After a couple of lessons with Iain his love of swimming was restored, his confidence was higher than ever and his strokes improved. I can't wait to get my 3 year old signed up once he's a bit bigger! Quotes

Quotes Both my son and daughter swim with Ian and have come on fantastic, to the point that my son doesn't have lessons anymore and my daughter is now swimming lengths. Therefore in May I decided to start lessons with Ian, as although I had learnt to swim 3 times as a child, I was able to swim breast stroke only with my head above the water. I would do this 2-3 times a week doing 32 lengths of the pool and I realised that I was going to damage my back, so I decided enough was enough I was going to learn to swim properly. Well Ian started in May teaching me how to swim and with practise and determination that I was going to swim properly this time, I finished my lessons today. I can now swim breast stroke properly, aswell as front crawl, back crawl and a variety of other strokes and tumble turns. I would like to say a big thank you to Ian and Mandy for all their hard work with both me and my children. I can now swim properly and I enjoy it so much more now. Thankyou Quotes

Quotes I first started swimming lessons with Ian in January. After my first lesson I was buzzing and I haven't looked back since. I feel that Ian has given me such an amazing gift, the ability to swim, and I can't thank him enough (it did of course involve a lot of hard work on my behalf). I used to look over at the 'big boy swimmers' in the swim lane and feel very intimidated. My dream being to swim as well as they, well now I can!!! I've recently taken part in the Forres and Alford short triathlons with another scheduled for the end of september. Swimming has also helped me shed 34" since January and I'm now only a few lbs off my target weight having lost over 4 stone. I couldn't recommend Mandian swimming school highly enough!!! Quotes

Quotes Drew who is only 3 years old and possibly the youngest member of Mandian's swimming school has recently started lessons with Mandy, she absolutely loves getting in the pool, so much so she jumps straight into Mandy's arms, as a mum it gives me great security knowing that my child loves her instructor but she is learning in such a fun way, in only one week she has progressed such a lot. She wears her new magic goggles in the car on the way home and the bath. Mandy a massive thank you from both Steve and myself! When can we sign up Jude (1 years old)! Quotes

Quotes Well done to all the children on the Rookie Lifeguard Course, everyone stepped up their effort this term and all improved tremendously which showed in the ammount of certificates and badges handed out. I hope everyone had fantasic fun on the last day, before the Summer Holidays start. Have a wonderful Summer and be safe! Ian x Quotes

Quotes Ian and Mandy and all at Mandian Swimming Swimming School would like to congratulate one of our Adult Students Heidi Wilson for finishing 3rd in the Senior Womens section in the 2011 Forres Triathlon at the weekend (her first triathlon). As recently as the Summer of 2010 Heidi was a non-swimmer, so this is a fantastic achievment. Good luck for the next one Heidi at Alford Swimming Pool at the end of July ! Quotes

Quotes I started with Ian 2 and a half years ago and could barely swim, and within a few lessons me, my mum and my dad could all see huge progress. I had little confidence in water but now, 2 & a half years later, I've just completed the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification and I can swim with confidence on any stroke through deep water. This wouldn't have been possible without Ian and both his amazing teaching and people skills. I've never had lesson I haven't enjoyed, and that's why I'm continuing my lessons further - not only is Ian my teacher, but I can happily say he is my friend :) Thanks! :) Quotes
Mafi Simmonds-Sharkey
Previous non-swimmer, now a qualified lifeguard

Quotes Ian and Mandy and all at Mandian Swimming School would like to congratulate one of our teenage students Mafi Simmonds- Sharkey, who has just passed his NPLQ (National Pool Lifeguard Qualification), which means he can apply for positions within the Leisure Industry as a Pool Lifeguard. Passing this qualification is all the more remarkable as Mafi was a non- swimmer as recently as 2 and half years ago. The course was taken by another ex- Student of Mandian, Colin Cass who is now a R.L.S.S Trainer/ assessor and has been in his position as an acting Duty Officer at Moray Leisure Centre for 4 years - Well Done Mafi!
